Questions merchants ask
Will it slow down my store?
The app loads through a theme app embed with a small async script, so it does not block your page. The popup code itself loads only when a campaign is live.
Do I need to edit my theme or code?
No. Turn on the 1ClickPopup app embed in your theme editor; the app links you straight to it. For embedded forms, add the 1ClickPopup Form block where you want it.
What counts as a popup view?
A view is counted each time a popup or embedded form is shown. A closed teaser tab does not count, and known bots are not counted. Frequency settings control how often the same shopper sees a campaign.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
Popups pause until your views reset on the 1st of the month, and follow-up emails stop at their limit. You get an email at 80% and 100% of your views, and you can upgrade at any time.
Does it work with Klaviyo on the Free plan?
Free plans sync subscribers and their consent to Shopify Customers and can trigger Shopify Flow. Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Postscript, GA4, and Meta Pixel need a Pro plan.
Does exit intent work on mobile?
Yes. On desktop it fires when the cursor leaves the page. On mobile it fires when a shopper navigates back toward the page they landed on or switches away from the tab.
Will my store show 1ClickPopup branding?
Never on your storefront, on any plan. On the Free plan, follow-up emails include a small "Powered by 1ClickPopup" footer. Pro plans remove it.
How does the free trial work?
Every Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial. Each store gets one trial in total, so switching between Pro plans or reinstalling keeps the days you have left.
How do I cancel or downgrade?
Billing runs through Shopify. Pick the Free plan in the app to end your paid subscription, or uninstall the app at any time.
Can popups be in my language?
Yes. You write the popup text, so it can be in any language. Pro plans can show different campaigns by storefront language. The app itself is available in English, French, and Spanish.
